Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to go vote. My name’s Alex, sophomore studying Economics and Philosophy in LAS. I love my houseplants, my friends, and my cat, Leona. I’m running to be on the SORF Board because our student orgs deserve competency from those who disperse SORF funds. Here’s my promise, short and sweet: I’ll look over applications fairly and without bias and I’ll be available for student org leadership when they need help. These, I can guarantee. I previously sat on the Student Fee Advisory Committee where we reviewed various budgets of university departments and sought ways to minimize the cost of attendance while bolstering student services. I currently work at Student Engagement helping student orgs navigate compliance checks, event registrations, and purchase requests. Serving on the SORF Board will act as an overlap between these two skills and will allow me to help RSOs with specific knowledge on funding. I will serve in this position well.
