Isaac Zipperstein

My name is Isaac Zipperstein, and I am a junior from Lincolnwood, Illinois. I am pursuing a degree in Financial Planning in Agriculture & Consumer Economics and minors in business and informatics. I am passionate about business and technology and currently serve on multiple university bodies, including the Urbana-Champaign Campus Senate, the Committee on Committees, the Illinois App Steering Committee, and the Illinois Student Council (ISC). I also hold multiple other leadership positions. I am the Vice President and a refounding father of Sigma Alpha Mu Rho Chapter, EQM Capital's co-founder, and Illini Chabad's Treasurer. Now, I am running for a second term on the Urbana-Champaign Campus Senate because I am committed to continuing to work to improve the University of Illinois campus. I have passed and authored multiple resolutions and took up the responsibility of helping to fill vacancies on the U-C Senate, ISC, and university committees to ensure students have a voice and are adequately represented. My candidate platform focuses on increasing transparency and communication between the student government and the student body and promoting civic engagement among students. Transparency and communication are essential for creating a more informed and engaged student body. I plan to develop a clear and open communication channel between the University Senate and the student body. I am committed to promoting civic engagement among students and showing them how to advocate for change in our university structure. I will work to create opportunities for student involvement in student government and their communities. This initiative will help to develop well-rounded and engaged students invested in the success of their community. In conclusion, I am a dedicated and ambitious student passionate about business and technology. I am committed to positively impacting the student experience at the University of Illinois. My skills and prior experience make me the best candidate for the position. I look forward to serving the student body and working towards creating a better university community for all students.
