My name is Mhark, and I am running for the position of Senator on the U-C Senate. I am a freshman in the Division of General Studies and come from Chicago, IL. I am seeking this position in order to improve the representation of students on the U-C Senate. For the past term, the number of vacant undergraduate seats has led to a critically low number of student representatives on this important body. With my election, I hope to change this situation both quantitatively and qualitatively. As a senator, I will endevour to represent my peers and community by hearing their concerns and voicing them to the senate on their behalf, which I hope will begin to remedy the ongoing lack of student voices.
